Overview

All communication should be initiated with a definite purpose in mind – focusing on helping the company achieve it goals and objectives.

Key messages help focus, simplify communication

To develop successful communication, deliberately concentrate on communication themes or messages. These are the points you want people to remember.

To communicate your key points, look for events and facts to support your message. For example, use an order lost due to price to provide an opportunity for discussion about costs and market competitiveness.

Additional information about how to use messages for face-to-face communication can be found in the Manager’s Communication Toolbox, under the topic, “Messages.”
