Ron Hess is the founder and leader of Motiv8 Communications, a full-service employee communications firm based in
Port Orange, Florida.
He has more than 25 years managerial experience in employee communication at senior levels with some of Americas best known companies. He is experienced in every facet of corporate employee communication, including executive communication, management training and development, publication and Intranet management, HR and benefits communication, opinion surveying and other forms of employee research and strategic employee communication.
Prior to establishing his own consulting business, Ron was director of corporate employee communication for Watson Wyatt, one of the worlds largest Human Resources consulting firms.
During 17 years with General Electric during the Jack Welch era at GE Ron managed employee communications at four of GEs 12 largest businesses and directed highly visible, company-wide employee communication programs for four-plus years as a member of the GE Corporate Headquarters staff. He has also managed corporate employee communication programs for Fortune 200 companies International Paper and Eaton Corporation.
He has won over 50 awards in national, regional and local competitions sponsored by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and other organizations. Ron also was a top winner for many years in GE communication award competitions. He holds a B.S. in Journalism and Public Relations from Kent State University.
Ron has a wife and two children and he still clings to the belief that one of the Cleveland sports teams he faithfully follows Indians, Browns and Cavs will win a world championship in his lifetime.
